This site is for anyone who is interested in the defenseof  Dangerous Dogs, or as I like to call them, allegedly Dangerous Dogs. I hope it can be a place where folks who are struggling with all the issues raised in a dangerous dog case, can meet and discuss both old and new ways to defend dogs that have been unnecessarily entangled in the web of Animal Control. The site will contain a library of case citations, briefs and memorandum and relevant statutes.

I will only post information that is helpful in the defense of Dangerous Dogs. There is another side, the county, the city, the government.  If you want to know the potential issues the government will raise, email me privately and I will provide you with whatever materials I have.  I will not post them so that the government can use this site to become acquainted with our arguments.

Law School Studies
written by Fred M. Kray, March 16, 2011
It may be that your law school has an animal law class, most do these days. But there are no real core studies that define animal law. BSL involves so many legal issues: constitutional law, muncipal law, sovereign immunity, appellate law, and trial law to name a few. There is also a huge disconnect between what you learn in law school and actually being a lawyer. I think the best advice I can give you is to try and intern where animal law issues are litigated. You will learn more there, and you will get an idea if that area of law suits you. Good luck.

Prospective Law Student
written by Ben Parker, March 15, 2011
I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of what courses should I take in law school to fight bsl. I hope to one day work for the UKC or AKC as an anti-bsl attorney. I have an APBT as a service dog so this issue really hits home with me.

Thank you

PS I am planning on attending Souther University Law Clinic in Baton Rouge, La
